What is Microneedling?
Microneedling is performed through the use of a minimally-invasive hand held device that is comprised of tiny, fine needles. The technology has been specially developed to puncture the top layer of the epidermis on a microscopic level, to trigger your skin’s natural healing process. The treatment is minimally painful but has great implications when it comes to smoothening wrinkles on the forehead, around the eyes, around the mouth and lips, and on the chin.
Dr. Dyson and the provider also regularly recommends microneedling for our Tucson patients who want to even out hyperpigmentation or discoloration caused by exposure to the Arizona sun, as well as to patients who want to tighten skin around the face. In fact, the potential benefits of microneedling are not just limited to treating loose facial skin- collagen induction therapy can be used to stimulate the rate of collagen production in all parts of the body including the legs, chest, arms, back, and buttocks.
Your Microneedling Treatment in Tucson
Our patients typically opt in for an average of four to six microneedling treatments to achieve the results they want. Our experienced team will customize the depth of the needle depending on the area of your body you are targeting and the depth of wrinkles or scars to be treated. Each treatment is done right in the comfort of either our Tucson or Green Valley offices, both of which are fully equipped to make your experience as smooth and pleasant as possible. Mild swelling or redness is normal after each session but should subside within the first couple days following treatment.
